5/20/2004 -Design Arts Utah 2004 Exhibition, Design of All Kinds

The Davis Applied Technology Center has been selected by the Utah Arts Council and the Design Arts Program to be displayed in the up coming Design Arts 2004 Exhibition. The theme of this exhibition is design of all kinds and will be on display from June 18, 2004 through July 3, 2004 at the Rio Gallery, 310 South Rio Grande. A reception for this exhibition will be held on June 18, 2004 from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Rio Gallery. We encourage all to come and enjoy a variety of work done by Utah designers.

5/26/2004 - Educational Interior Design Excellence

The SLCC Jordan Campus High Tech Learning Center has been choosen to appear in the 2004 American School and University Educational Interiors Showcase. This project will be highlighted in the August issue of American School and University.

5/22/2002 - Outstanding Architecture and Design in Education

Once again the SLCC Jordan Campus High Tech Learning Center has been recognized as an outstanding architectural design. The project is being recognized for "Outstanding Architecture and Design in Education" by College Planning and Management and will be highlighted in their next publication, "2002 Education Design Showcase". The publication shares a common goal with HFSArchitects, "to provide the best possible learning environment for all students at all levels of education".

1/17/2002 - American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) 2002 Awards

The American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) of Utah awarded their 2002 Engineering Excellence Grand Award to the SLCC Jordan Campus High Tech Learning Center. The project was completed in Fall 2001 and was part of the first phase of the Salt Lake Community College Jordan Campus. Spectrum+Bennion Engineers accepted the award at an awards banquet held at Abravanel Hall on January 17, 2002. The Soldier Hollow Day Lodge also received an Honor Award during the banquet. The Day Lodge, part of the Olympic Legacy Projects, was constructed as a Design/Build project with ARW Engineers and Hogan and Associates Contractors.
